Biography

Kymika Okechukwu, MPA, is a strategic nonprofit healthcare leader with extensive experience in evidence-based medicine, equity-centered program development, and policy implementation. As Associate Executive Director, she brings deep expertise in research oversight, volunteer engagement, and strategic planning, with a track record of leading high-impact initiatives that align with mission-driven goals and national healthcare priorities.

She has led the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, supported governance and advisory committees, and championed efforts to embed equity into organizational frameworks. Known for her collaborative leadership and ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies, she consistently builds cross-functional partnerships that advance organizational impact.

She holds a Master of Public Administration from DePaul University and is currently pursuing the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential to deepen her expertise in nonprofit leadership and governance.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, horseback riding, and growing produce in her family’s edible garden. She also dedicates her volunteer time to supporting children and underserved communities, work that reflects her ongoing commitment to equity and service. Her personal and professional passions are rooted in creating inclusive, meaningful change and building stronger systems for those who need them most.
