Biography

During her nearly 28 years at Kansas Medical Society, Ms. DeGroff not only directed the association’s marketing, public relations and communications efforts but also its membership division. She developed substantial experience in organizational governance, operations, relationship building and strategic engagement. Ms. DeGroff also played an active role in the
development of KMS policy, supported the organization’s advocacy efforts and helped
manage KMS’ special projects and initiatives. During her tenure at KMS, she led the
formation and development of the KMS Leadership Institute–an innovative program
designed to create effective physician leaders.

Most recently, Ms. DeGroff served as the Executive Director of the Kansas Healthcare
Collaborative—a quality improvement initiative founded by the medical society and the
Kansas Hospital Association. She led a team of highly-qualified individuals who support
physicians and hospitals as they work to improve quality and patient safety in Kansas.

Allison enjoys the heritage arts, good conversation and great food. She
treasures every opportunity to hike in the Colorado mountains with family and friends.
